Crawling not running to my hiding spot

The other day Mummy could not find my sippy cup anywhere. She looked all over the kitchen, on the table, on the floor, in the fridge, in the sink, under the couch, in the cupboard with the other cups, it was nowhere to be found. Mummy gave up looking. Then a little while later I crawled into the kitchen up the drawer where the pots are. I like to play with the pots, pull them out and bang them. It's a great drawer. I decided to keep my drink there and then I would be able to find it when I am thirsty. So I had a drink. And then I put my cup back in the drawer again.

My Aunty Heather in Canada send me some clothes. Some jeans and a hockey shirt. It doesn't belong to any hockey team. Daddy said I looked more Canadian wearing the hockey shirt than in my "Canada Eh!" clothes or my Roughriders outfit.
Contrary to some impressions from photos, I am not walking yet. I have taken some steps, but I really prefer to go crawling instead. It's so much faster, why doesn't everyone do it? Whenever someone tries to make me stand I sit down again. I can do it but I simply choose not to.

I had my first birthday

On Monday it was a special day. When I woke up in the morning Mummy, Daddy and Abigail showed me pictures and videos from the day that I was born one year ago. I liked it, I was smiling. I was very tiny, but Mummy says I was very big. Abigail thinks I was tiny too.
Then later in the day some friends came to our house. Sophie is a baby girl who is younger than me. I like playing with her. Mummy made a cake like a truck. My relatives in Australia came on the computer. Mummy put a candle in the cake. Then everybody sang Happy Birthday to me. I like that too.

I couldn't work out why everyone wanted to blow out the candle. It was so pretty. The chocolate cake Mummy made was so yummy that I got blue all over my face. I also got some nice birthday presents from Mummy and Daddy, Abigail, and my friends Sam and Sophie.

I hope you like the photos.

I'm growing up

I'm now 11 months old. I like to get around the house as much as possible and tear things to pieces. It's lots of fun.
My top three exploits so far have been:
1) Depressing the pins in the cable that charges the computer battery. Mummy and Daddy now find it hard to charge the computer and had to order a new cable through Amazon.com. $$$.
2) I broke the DVD player!  I just love cables. I am always trying to get into electricity. Daddy thinks I will probably be an electrical engineer or something, if I don't do myself a serious injury first. Mummy and Daddy are always screaming "No, PJ stop!!! No!" Why are they trying to stop me pursuing my calling in life?  I pulled the DVD player out and turned it upside down while it was playing.  The disc span and span, until it span no more. Now how do I fix it? $$$.
3)  The other day I pulled the phone cord out from under the skirting/ base boards. It was loose in the hallway, but Daddy didn't see it in the dark. He tripped over it and snapped it in half. Silly Daddy!  Daddy was so smart that he managed to splice it back together. He wouldn't even let me help him. But I'm so good with a sharp knife.

I don't talk yet. Well I do say a few things like- mamamam, or bababab, or dadada. They all have their meanings at the right time. I like to cheer Mummy and Daddy up by waking up in the middle of the night, then coming to their bed to play with them for a couple of hours. Why don't they like this? I'm so friendly and loving.

I don't walk yet, but I'm getting close. Today I took four steps by myself. I can stand on the spot for as long as I want (ten seconds), but then I get bored and slowly sit down without losing my balance.

Soon it will be my first Christmas. Mummy and Daddy will give me some toys, They say I am allowed to break them if I want. But DVD players and computers are far more fun to break than toys. Oh, I have also pulled the curtains down in my bedroom and pulled the wall paper off in the spare room. Would you like to come and fix the house up when I am finished with it Grandma? $$$.

PJ and the Puppy

We went to see some people and my sister was playing with this thing.

She liked it so much I decided I wanted to play too.
So I went for it. That puppy sure is fast, and wiggly!
And it has this fluffy bit on the end that swings back and forth and hits you in the face if you are not careful.
He climbed right on top of me and we wrestled for a bit. I'm bigger, but he's faster.
I think I like puppies!

Cute as ever

This is one of my favourite new games- watching the washing machine.

Keeping warm.

Getting dirty.

Riding in my pram.

Watching the cricket.

With Uncle Tom.

I'm a good ad for babies. :)
