I'm growing up

I'm now 11 months old. I like to get around the house as much as possible and tear things to pieces. It's lots of fun.
My top three exploits so far have been:
1) Depressing the pins in the cable that charges the computer battery. Mummy and Daddy now find it hard to charge the computer and had to order a new cable through Amazon.com. $$$.
2) I broke the DVD player!  I just love cables. I am always trying to get into electricity. Daddy thinks I will probably be an electrical engineer or something, if I don't do myself a serious injury first. Mummy and Daddy are always screaming "No, PJ stop!!! No!" Why are they trying to stop me pursuing my calling in life?  I pulled the DVD player out and turned it upside down while it was playing.  The disc span and span, until it span no more. Now how do I fix it? $$$.
3)  The other day I pulled the phone cord out from under the skirting/ base boards. It was loose in the hallway, but Daddy didn't see it in the dark. He tripped over it and snapped it in half. Silly Daddy!  Daddy was so smart that he managed to splice it back together. He wouldn't even let me help him. But I'm so good with a sharp knife.

I don't talk yet. Well I do say a few things like- mamamam, or bababab, or dadada. They all have their meanings at the right time. I like to cheer Mummy and Daddy up by waking up in the middle of the night, then coming to their bed to play with them for a couple of hours. Why don't they like this? I'm so friendly and loving.

I don't walk yet, but I'm getting close. Today I took four steps by myself. I can stand on the spot for as long as I want (ten seconds), but then I get bored and slowly sit down without losing my balance.

Soon it will be my first Christmas. Mummy and Daddy will give me some toys, They say I am allowed to break them if I want. But DVD players and computers are far more fun to break than toys. Oh, I have also pulled the curtains down in my bedroom and pulled the wall paper off in the spare room. Would you like to come and fix the house up when I am finished with it Grandma? $$$.

PJ and the Puppy

We went to see some people and my sister was playing with this thing.

She liked it so much I decided I wanted to play too.
So I went for it. That puppy sure is fast, and wiggly!
And it has this fluffy bit on the end that swings back and forth and hits you in the face if you are not careful.
He climbed right on top of me and we wrestled for a bit. I'm bigger, but he's faster.
I think I like puppies!

Cute as ever

This is one of my favourite new games- watching the washing machine.

Keeping warm.

Getting dirty.

Riding in my pram.

Watching the cricket.

With Uncle Tom.

I'm a good ad for babies. :)

gotta get up

So, crawling? I'm kinda over it. sliding along on my belly is working fine for me, besides I think that I can use my legs to do something even better! Stand up! That way I would be able to get over things like the step into the bathroom, and be able to reach to second shelf of the book case. Did I tell you they moved all the books from the bottom shelf? How annoying.

mini golf for mini people

I love it when I get to do the same things as everyone else. Its the best when they let me do stuff too. I can even play golf! I stayed here in the middle on hole number 7 while everyone else did other holes too. I think for the time being I'll just concentrate on this one hole.

Corn on the crawl

The other day Mummy gave me some corn on the cob. It's the first time I have ever had it. I love it when I eat the same food as everyone else. I am told this is a very special occasion because Mummy and Daddy have never before seen corn on the cob in Russia.

Here I am doing my push ups. I am practicing so that I can crawl properly. These days I can push with my knees but still not get all four limbs off the floor at the same time.

G'day

G'day, just catching up with you. Daddy tried to take a photo of inside my mouth but I kept trying to eat the camera. In the end he gave up. To thank him I put on a really cute face for this pic.

One of my favourite games is to chew on things. It feels really good on my gums. Mummy and Daddy bought me a toy set that hangs from a plastic frame. But my favourite part is just to chew on the plastic frame. When Mummy and Daddy aren't looking I make my way for the cables by the tv. (I do this on my tummy and push with my legs. I'm still working on getting the crawling right.) They are really fun to chew on too. But I only ever get to chew them for a second before they take them away from me. One time they gave me a cord all by itself that wasn't attached to anything. They should do that more often.

Recently they bought me a toy called a teething ring. It's fun and all, but not nearly as fun as the electrical cords. Maybe I'll be an electrician when I grow up.

I'm a very happy boy. The other day a tooth popped through. And then a day later another one popped through. But I've got nothing to complain about. Abigail keeps me entertained most of the time, so I never have the chance to get bored. Then after her entertainment I just fall asleep.

Mmm this is fun

Mummy gave me some watermelon. I've never had it before. The really fun thing was that I was eating exactly the same thing as Abigail at the same time as her. It was so much fun to eat big people food.

if you think I'm big...

If you think I'm big then you should meet my friend Timofei. He even makes me look little. Timofei is 2 months older than me, but I think it will take me more than 2 months to get as big as he is. Its fun making friends.

Wow, I can sit now

Look at me, I am learning to sit all by myself now.

The high chair has been good practice for me.

When I get better at it I will graduate to the back pack instead of the snuggli. This is a good thing as I am getting heavier. I now weigh 9.6 kgs.

Do you like my new cap. Daddy thinks I look really cool.

Sitting practice

Mummy and Daddy think that I've had lots of time on the floor, but now I need some sitting practice. So they went and bought me a new high chair. They ordered it through IKEA in Novosibirsk. (When PJ says it, it comes out as ma ma da da da da ma ma.)

When we all sat down at dinner and held hands to pray, I was so excited to be included, it was a very special day.

My big sister is helping me with more sitting practice.

How cute is this?!?

There's something to this crawling thing. I'm pretty sure there is a faster way to get around the room than on my tummy...

At least I've got someone to help show me!

My new trick

Look, I have a new trick.

Can you do it too?

My big sister Abigail can.

What in the world is that stuff you're feeding me?

Can anybody help me?  What is this stuff that Mummy is feeding me?  It's nothing like the other food she gives me.  I always say mmm yum, and let Mummy or Daddy know that I like my food.  But this was too much.  I'm not sure I ever want to eat the yucky food ever again.  Please stick to the rice and grechka Mummy.
(Ed.-  see if you can guess what turned PJ's face so much!  :)   )

Up goes my bum

Hello again.  It turns out that I'm living in a new house, or so I've been told.  But all I really pay attention to is that my family love me very much and that I get to eat lots of real food these days.  This morning daddy gave me grechka.  (Buckwheat.)

Mummy says I am doing mental problem solving.  Daddy thinks I'm really funny.  But I'm just trying to get my bum up in the air.

If I can get it high enough I might be able to propel myself forward somehow.

I've heard that the legs are also involved.  If you kick them lots it might help.

That's enough exercise for today, I'm pooped.

Here I come....!

My Mummy went out today and came back in a truck with my new bed.  I think Abigail will be really happy that she gets to sleep right next to me.
